If you’re a fan of Stuttgart’s finest (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) then you need to know about JZM Porsche… These guys are one of the UK’s leading Porsche specialists and one of our official Akrapovič dealers. So when they invited us to their Cars, Coffee and Croissants meet, we didn’t need asking twice.
Held at their prestige HQ in Kings Langley, the format is simple: get some cool cars together and celebrate all things Porsche – the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning.
After an early start, we headed around the M25 to junction 20. On the slip road approaching a roundabout a sparking white 991.2 GT3 suddenly appears, followed by an immaculate 993 Turbo; no need to ask where these guys are headed.
Having negotiated some speed humps (which the GT3 took very gingerly), we arrive at JZM HQ to be greeted by a car park filled with Porsches. What a sight! The first thing that catches my eye is a Riviera blue 997 GT3 RS, which looks incredible. It also sounds incredible, thanks to the Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium system.
Taking a stroll around the car park, it’s clear that some very special cars are here. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many GT3 and GT3 RS models together before; an RS 4.0-litre model is an especially rare treat. As well as the new stuff, plenty of older cars are here, including a sublime 993 RS.
Having spent an hour or so wandering around looking at the amazing machinery on display, we head inside for a much needed coffee. Walking into JZM’s reception is rather special, because parked front of house is a silver Porsche 918 Spyder (on sale for £1.295,900). Talk about setting the tone! Everything is set out beautifully and the welcoming JZM team is on hand to offer some great coffee, tasty croissants and more.
To the rear of reception is a doorway, flanked by a glowing Akrapovič logo, which leads to the showroom – real sight to behold. It’s tightly packed with Porsches; all immaculate examples handpicked by JZM’s expert sales team. The highlight has to be a bright red GT2 RS Weissach, which has a small crowd around it all morning. It features bare carbon fibre sections on the bonnet, wings and roof and looks absolutely stunning. Inside, the cabin has been covered in swathes of red Alcantara, including the steering wheel, seats, door cards – even the roof lining. This is not a car for the feint hearted or those wishing to remain under the radar.
But JZM not only offer some of the finest examples of Porsches for sale, they also offer a full maintenance and tuning service, including installing Akrapovič exhaust systems. They are also in the process of building a new state-of-the-art car storage facility, which will allow them to store and maintain cars for clients from all over the world.
