The Akrapovic Slip-On Race Line transforms Porsche’s iconic flat-six engine sound, delivering an unmistakable acoustic experience. At lower revs, it produces a deep, raw rumble that transitions to a strong, rich tone in the mid-range, culminating in a high-frequency sensation at higher revs. This thrilling sound profile is perfectly timed to upshifts, providing an exhilarating experience in the higher gears, while race-inspired burbles accompany downshifts. Precision-engineered with a carefully calculated H-link between the main pipes, the system eliminates intrusive droning and unwanted flow noise, ensuring a dynamic yet comfortable cabin experience.

Performance

The Akrapovic Slip-On Race Line is engineered to enhance performance by improving exhaust flow, reducing back pressure, and significantly lowering weight—all without requiring an ECU remap. Dyno testing shows gains of +22.6 hp at 3,400 rpm and +34.5 ft-lb of torque at 3,400 rpm compared to the Porsche stock sports exhaust system. The lightweight titanium construction achieves a substantial weight reduction of 9.0 kg, making it 60.5% lighter than the stock exhaust. These performance improvements result in sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration, with the torque curve offering a perfect response from low down engine speed.

Design

The Akrapovic Slip-On Race Line blends advanced engineering with purposeful aesthetics to complement the Porsche 992.1 Turbo. Produced from lightweight titanium, the system uses complex parts meticulously crafted in Akrapovic’s in-house titanium foundry to deliver perfect acoustics and exceptional durability. The titanium construction ensures the system can withstand the rigours of track-focused driving while maintaining its premium appearance. Twin tailpipes are available in standard Titanium or Black Titanium finishes, allowing owners to personalise the look of their vehicle. A carefully calculated H-link between the main pipes optimises sound tuning, creating a system that excels in both performance and design.

Developed and tested in combination with the Slip-On Race Line exhaust, this product incorporates high-flow performance 200 CPSI catalytic converters and eliminates OPFs/GPFs to deliver even greater sound and performance improvements.

The link pipes produce a deeper, more raw flat-six rumble at low RPMs and a rich, high-frequency acoustic profile at higher revs, with thrilling upshifts, sharp burbles on downshifts, and no drone or unwanted flow noise. Power gains of +34.2 hp and torque increases of +55.2 ft-lb at 3,200 rpm, combined with an enhanced torque curve, ensure even sharper acceleration and improved low-end response.
