The Evolution Line transforms the G 63’s iconic V8 engine, delivering a rich, deep tone that perfectly complements its commanding presence. At cruising speeds, the system provides a smooth, refined sound, while acceleration unleashes a bold, sporty growl that enhances the driving experience. Featuring twin valves positioned behind the rear mufflers, the system ensures precise control of exhaust flow while eliminating intrusive droning, creating an exhilarating yet comfortable sound profile that captures the essence of the G 63.
Performance
Power and torque levels are increased throughout the entire rev range, delivering noticeable improvements in responsiveness and acceleration. Akrapovič’s freer-flowing design reduces back pressure and optimises exhaust gas flow, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently. Dyno testing confirms a power gain of 21.4 horsepower and 18.7 ft-lb of torque at 5,950 rpm, translating to sharper throttle response and enhanced performance. The system also achieves a weight reduction of 9.4 kg—41.4% lighter than the stock exhaust—improving agility and handling, all without requiring ECU remapping.
