PERON Tuning Stage 1 ECU / TCU Calibration Package for Audi RS 6 / RS 7 (C8)

As with all major developments at PERON Automotive, our C8 RS6/RS7 calibration is the culmination of months of dedicated work by highly experienced engineers in our world-class facility. Despite our extensive expertise with the C7 RS6/RS7's EA824 engine, we approached the C8’s EA825 platform with a fresh perspective. Over six months of in-depth research and development with the Bosch MG1 ECU and ZF8HP AL552 TCU allowed us to fine-tune the vehicle’s behaviour to perfection. The results speak for themselves—not only in raw performance metrics but also in the enhanced driveability that transforms every driving experience.

Enhanced Driveability and Performance
Designed to increase engine output to between 675 and 700 horsepower and 725 to 775 ft-lbs of torque, the Stage 1 package enhances the RS6/RS7's responsiveness and speed. The primary goal is to refine power delivery, enhancing the smoothness of acceleration and improving the vehicle’s dynamic capabilities without drastically altering its character.

Fuel Requirements and Efficiency
This tuning stage requires 97-98 RON fuel, with 99 RON recommended to capture the full benefits of the tune. By optimising fuel usage, this stage ensures that the engine operates efficiently, making the most of the increased power while maintaining the car's fuel economy.

Hardware Requirements

  • New set of factory RS6/RS7 spark plugs, gapped to performance spec

ECU Tuning Highlights for the Audi C8 RS6/RS7

  • Enhanced Torque and Load Management: Optimised internal calculations improve external control, delivering smoother power distribution and improved drivability across all conditions.
  • Boost Control Refinement: Adjustments to boost pressure provide quicker turbocharger response and more consistent power delivery, making acceleration feel more immediate and forceful.
  • Fuel Delivery Optimisation: Modified fuel flow and increased cylinder pressure management ensure the engine remains safe while delivering higher performance, supporting more aggressive driving without compromising reliability.
  • Lambda Optimisation: Perfected air-fuel ratio adjustments improve both efficiency and safety, ensuring optimal performance even under high power outputs.
  • Ignition Timing Enhancements: Fine-tuned ignition for maximum power and smoothness, while maintaining engine safety and fuel efficiency, resulting in better throttle response and combustion precision.
  • Camshaft Timing Adjustments: Tweaked camshaft timing enhances both responsiveness and peak power, improving torque in low RPMs and maintaining power at high speeds.
  • Rev Limiter Increase: Raised soft limiter in neutral enhances engine sound, providing a more exhilarating auditory experience when stationary.
  • Speed Limiter Removal: The factory-imposed speed limit is removed, unlocking the RS6/RS7's true potential, capable of surpassing 200+ mph.
  • Exhaust Flap Control: Exhaust flaps remain open at all RPM ranges in sport mode, amplifying the exhaust note for a more aggressive and dynamic driving experience.
  • Quiet Cold Start: An optional quiet cold start feature reduces noise during engine warm-up, perfect for maintaining neighbourhood peace in the mornings.

TCU Tuning Highlights for the Audi C8 RS6/RS7 (ZF8 HP AL552 Gearbox)

  • Raised Torque Limits: Torque limits are increased to just below the gearbox’s maximum internal limit of 1300 Nm, allowing the transmission to handle higher engine power without compromising durability.
  • Enhanced Hydraulic and Clutch Pressure: Increased gearbox hydraulic system pressure and clutch engagement force elevate the torque-holding capacity, improving both reliability and performance, particularly under high-load conditions and when running at elevated power levels.
  • Improved Shift Speeds and Torque Management: Shift times and torque reduction intervals are shortened for faster, smoother gear changes. This ensures a refined driving experience at low speeds, while delivering quicker, more precise shifts during aggressive driving.
